According to Skysports Blackpool are trying to persude former Manchester United and Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt to quit retirement and play for them.
Nicky Butt, 35, quited Newcastle last year after they won the promotion to the Premier League to go into coaching. He would be available on a free transfer.
He has also been linked with Ipswich and Preston. Preston are offering him a player/manager role.
Steve Sidwell
According to New of the World Blackpool are also interested in trying to sign Steve Sidwell, the midfielder is being chased by West Ham, Fulham and Bolton.
Chris Eagles, Danny Wellbeck and David Bentley
Hard to believe but the seasiders have also been linked to loan moves for Chris Eagles , Manchester United striker Danny Wellbeck and Tottenham's 15 million pound winger David Bentley.
