Liverpool FC: Things To Know About Kenny Huang

The guy behind the takeover, Kenny Huang—just who is he? Well here it is:

He is not Kenny
Well, the first thing to know is that Kenny's real name is Huang Jianhua. Kenny is a name given to him by his western friends.

He is intelligent

Kenny graduated with a BA degree from Zhongshan University in 1984, he then studied in the US at New York’s Columbia University before completing his Master's degree from St Johns.
He was the first Chinese graduate to work in the New York Stock Exchange.

He is a Sports Fan

One of Kenny's partners was Les Alexander, owner of the Houston Rockets. Huang worked with his American friend to bring Chinese basketball star Yao Ming in the NBA to play for Houston Rockets.
Huang has a share in the New York Yankees. Haung brought sponsorship deals for Houston Rockets as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also has a 15 percent stake in the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Huang even has a basketball league of his own in China the National Basketball League to rival the Chinese Basketball Association. And last year he announced plans for a youth baseball team in China. Huang has a agenda of making sports popular in his native country.

The Guy has Got Some Serious Backing

Haung has got the backing of Chinese state owned firms, so in theory he has been backed by 200 billion worth companies. If he indeed becomes the owner, Liverpool would become the first football club to break into the lucrative and enormous Chinese market.

Verdict

Haung is a passionate sports fan, and perhaps the most successful Chinese sports businessman. And if reports are to be believed, if the takeover is successful Huang will provide Liverpool with a massive transfer budget and will start work on the new stadium.

You can't really ask for anymore, can you?
