Hogdson to launch £10m raid for Peter Crouch

According to Daily Mail Liverpool are set to launch a £10m bid former Red Peter Crouch.

Hodgson has identified Crouch as a man for Liverpool's woes upfront. Hodgson believes that the 6ft 7inch striker would be a perfect foil for Fernando Torres and can also be used alone upfront in the absence of the brilliant Spaniard.

Harry would be reluctant to sell Crouch but he is looking to add Craig Bellamy or Luis Fabiano to his squad and will have to raise funds by offloading someone.

More Shit From The SUN: Pepe Reina to Arsenal

The SUN seems to be keeping its tradition of publishing utter shite, the latest addition to the vast collection of Shite stories is the story : Gunners Go For Reina

According to The Sun Arsene Wenger is about to launch a 25 million pound bid for the Spaniard, now common even a 4 year old kid will know that firstly Reina will not be switching club.

Secondly does anyone seriously think that Wenger will spend 25million pound for a goal keeper ? Wenger has never spend that sort of money , never ever.

It just goes to show the 3rd Grade level of the newspaper which frankly shouldn't even be called a newspaper.

Palermo still after Liverpool's Lucas

Palermo have still not given up hope of singing young Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva from Liverpool.

The Serie A team made an initial offer of 3 million pound for the midfielder and are now willing to double that sum.

Palermo sporting director said :

Is there a dialogue with Liverpool for Lucas Leiva?
"Yes, there is still a dialogue even if it is a marginal dialogue. Do Liverpool say he is unsellable - I believe that there is room for flexibility.

"How much would he cost? They evaluate him at €10million (£8.31m) but with €6-7 million I think maybe that the deal could be closed if the club would be willing to invest that figure."

He added to Live Sicilia: "Lucas? It is a remote possibility, we must try to be patient."
