Arsenal striker Jay Simpson is being chased by Premier League new boys Blackpool after Arsene Wenger told the young striker that he is surplus to requirements at the Emirates.Simpson, 21, who is a product of the Gunners youth academy, has enjoyed successful loan spells at Millwall, West Brom and QPR.

'Jay has had discussions with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal,' his agent Uben Gray told skysports.com.
'Everyone at the club only has good things to say about Jay,including Arsene, but they appreciate he needs to be playing first-teamfootball.'And so they are ready to let him leave, but only if the dealis right for all parties.'
