DaMarcus Beasley on Blackpool FC Radar

Blackpool FC are leading a pack of clubs trying to secure the signature of out of contract USA and Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley.


Beasley has just returned form the World Cup with United States and is keen to stay in Britain after his contract with Rangers ran out. Along with Blackpool, West Brom and Nottingham Forest are also chasing the winger.

Beasley has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City and has also played for Dutch side PSV. The winger has 17 goals and 93 international caps to his name.

Blackpool FC Keen On Signing Tom Cleverley From Manchester United

Blackpool FC are keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley on loan.

Cleverley, 20, has just inked a new 3-year deal with Manchester United but boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants to loan him out to gain first team experience with a Premier League side.

Cleverley spent the last year on loan to Championship side Watford, scoring 11 goals in 33 appearances and won the club's player of the year award.

Newcastle United are expected to rival Blackpool's attempt to sign the talented midfielder.





Ipswich to sign Blackpool Fc Target DJ Campbell

According to Skysports Ipswich are favorites to land Leicester striker DJ Campbell.

Campbell has enjoyed two very successful loan spells with Blackpool Fc and played an integral part in Blackpool gaining promotion to Premier League.

Campbell wanted to make his move to Blackpool permanent but they have been reluctant to pay the Foxes £2m demand for the striker.

Now Ipswich boss Roy Keane has identified the striker as a potential transfer target and is willing to match his £2m price tag.

Meanwhile Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has agreed to join Hull City, and Campbell now may well stay at the Foxes to see what the new manger plans are.

Chelsea's Scott Sinclair to join Blackpool Fc ?

Apparently Ian Holloway is understood to be keeping tabs on Chelsea FC starl Scott Sinclair.

Holloway discovered the winger as a 10-year-old schoolboy when in charge at Bristol Rovers. Sinclair has played under Holloway during a loan spell at Plymouth Argyle in 2008.

Sinclair spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic but failed to get much Ist team action. Chelsea are likely to offload the winger as he has failed to impress boss Carlo Ancelloti.

Robert Koren on Blackpool FC Radar

Slovenia midfielder Robert Koren is a potential target for Blackpool FC according to News of The World.

Koren, 29, was released by West Brom following their promotion to the Premier League.

But it seems that Koren might be keen on joining Blackpool to play in the English top flight. Considering the limited funds at Holloways disposal the deal would be good for both parties.

Koren has 49 International caps for his country, Slovenia . He is the captain of the national side and scored a winner against Algeria in the on going FIFA World Cup.

The midfielder would be an excellent addition to the side considering his vast experience of the English game.

Ian Holloway cools transfer fears of Blackpool fans

Ian Holloway has told concerned Blackpool FC fans not to fear about the clubs lack of activity in the transfer market.

The Tangerines were expected to add to their tiny squad but so far not a single player has arrived at Bloomfield Road.

"Why are people so worried about us not signing anyone, what is wrong with people?" Holloway told Skysports, who has been linked with a move for Arsenal's Danny Simpson, in The Blackpool Gazette. "We will get it sorted, just calm down.

"Trust the people I brought in last year. So if you're worried about the people I'll bring in this year, don't."

"If you think we are going to go into this season with what we've got, which is 16 players, then they must be crazy.

"Now is not the time to worry."

"I've left the chairman with a list of players that he's ringing up about, he'll find out how much they will be and I'll have a look at that when I get back.

"Any players that are bought and sold now will be players that we couldn't afford anyway."

Blackpool Chase Arsenal striker Jay Simpson

Arsenal striker Jay Simpson is being chased by Premier League new boys Blackpool after Arsene Wenger told the young striker that he is surplus to requirements at the Emirates.

Simpson, 21, who is a product of the Gunners youth academy, has enjoyed successful loan spells at Millwall, West Brom and QPR.

His advisors are holding talks with Cypriot sideOmonia Nicosia but news of his availability will alert admirers Blackpool FC who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the debut season in the Premier League.

'Jay has had discussions with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal,' his agent Uben Gray told skysports.com.


'Everyone at the club only has good things to say about Jay,including Arsene, but they appreciate he needs to be playing first-teamfootball.'And so they are ready to let him leave, but only if the dealis right for all parties.'
